Mario González (footballer)

Mario González (born 27 May 1950) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The defender González belonged 1970-1979 Peñarols the squad in La Liga on. During this period, he was with the Aurinegros in the years 1973, 1974, 1975, 1978 and 1979 respectively Uruguayan champion. Also available for the club from Montevideo in this phase 1974, 1975, 1977 and 1978 winning the Liguilla Pre- Libertadores in 1974 and 1975 and the victory at the Trofeo Teresa Herrera to book.

National

González was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, for which he played 16 international matches between May 23, 1972, April 28, 1976. A goal he scored not in his international career. González belonged to the squad of Uruguay in the World Cup 1974. He did not come in the course of the competition, however, are used.
