Mario José Serra

Mario José Serra ( born March 12, 1926 in Buenos Aires; † 9 July 2005) was a Roman Catholic Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires.

Life

Mario José Serra received on 4 December 1949, the ordination. On 28 May 1975 he was by Pope Paul VI. appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires and Titular Bishop of Mentesa. The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Juan Carlos Aramburu consecrated him on 8 August of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Vicente Faustino Zazpe, Archbishop of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz and Eduardo Francisco Pironio, Bishop of Mar del Plata. On 8 February 2002 John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.

At the age of 79 years he died on 9 July 2005.
