Mario Lička

Mario Lička ( born April 30, 1982 in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia, now Czech Republic) is a Czech footballer who is since the summer of 2013 at Slavia Prague under contract.

Club career

Mario Lička played in his youth, due to the stations of his father Verner Lička, the clubs FC Grenoble, Berchem Sport Antwerp, Calais RUFC and FC Grande -Synthe.

When his father returned to Ostrava in 1991, Mario moved to FC Banik Ostrava Lička. From the season 2002/ 03 Lička played in the first team. After 65 games and twelve gates of the midfielder the start of 2005 to the Italian first division club AS Livorno. There he made only four games and returned to Ostrava. There coach Jozef Jarabinský sent him to the B- team, whereupon Lička went to the first FC Slovácka. After a successful season, he moved to Southampton FC.

In July 2008 Lička returned to FC Banik Ostrava. At his former club Lička was a regular player and took a leading role. In 58 out of 60 league games the midfielder scored 13 goals. During the summer break in 2010 Lička moved along with his teammate Tomáš Mičola the French Erstligaaufsteiger Stade Brest. Thus, the Czech returned to the country where he had made his first steps in football.

National

Mario Lička played 16 times for the Czech U- 21 team, scoring two goals. In November 2009 Lička was appointed for the tournament in the United Arab Emirates in the squad of the Czech national team. Against the hosts played Lička 78 minutes, the Czech Republic defeated on penalties 2:3. In the match for third place, the Czechs lost 0-2 against Azerbaijan, Lička stood over the full season on the court.

Mario Ličkas brother Marcel Lička is also a professional footballer.
