Mario Winans
Mario Winans ( born August 27, 1974 in Orangeburg, South Carolina) is an American record producer, songwriter and singer. He achieved fame in 2004 with his album Hurt No More, as well as the hit single "I Do not Wanna Know ".

Life
Youth
Winans was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, but spent much of his childhood in Detroit, Michigan. As the son of Marvin and Vicki Winans and nephew of gospel singer BeBe CeCe Winans and he came very early with church music and rhythm & blues into contact. He learned to play in the school piano, keyboard and drums.
Immediately after his time at the high school, he began with the production and songwriting own gospel bands. First deserved recognition Winans, however, especially for his work with Fred Hammond, The Anointed and The Clark Sisters, and later he made mainly attracted attention by his productions on the albums of various family members.
Career
Mid-nineties, Mario Winans signed an exclusive production deal with Dallas Austin's Rowdy Records. The final breakthrough he finally scored with the tracks "I Can not Sleep" and " You Remind Me", two productions that appeared on R. Kelly's album R. Kelly (1995). Was soon followed by collaborations with singer Pebbles and the pop group 98 Degrees.
Two years later, in 1997, Winans released his debut album Story of My Heart at Motown Records. Although the first and only single, " Do not Know " the top 50 of the U.S. R & B charts was released, the album flopped. Shortly thereafter, Mario joined Diddy 's Bad Boy Records in itself, for its artists ( including The Notorious BIG, Lil 'Kim, Faith Evans, Loon, 112) he persistently co-produced over the years. To Winans biggest successes of this period includes both the remix compilation We Invented The Remix (2002) as well as the singles "I Need a Girl (Part I) " and " (Part II) ".
In parallel, Winans worked until 2003 regularly on his second album Hurt No More. The first single from the album, " I Do not Wanna Know" with a sample of Enya's Boadicea, was released in early 2004 and developed within a few weeks to a worldwide hit. It reached among others in the United States and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland # 1 on the singles charts. In the wake of the success of the published in April 2004 Hurt No More reached # 2 on the U.S. Billboard album charts and # 3 in the UK.
In subsequent years, Winans made increasingly as a producer of such artists as Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez attention to himself again. 2009 Winans was represented on the album of solid with the song " Dream". In 2012 he published with Kay One, a new song entitled " I Need a Girl Part 3".
