Mario Winans

Mario Winans ( born August 27, 1974 in Orangeburg, South Carolina) is an American record producer, songwriter and singer. He achieved fame in 2004 with his album Hurt No More, as well as the hit single "I Do not Wanna Know ".

Life

Youth

Winans was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, but spent much of his childhood in Detroit, Michigan. As the son of Marvin and Vicki Winans and nephew of gospel singer BeBe CeCe Winans and he came very early with church music and rhythm & blues into contact. He learned to play in the school piano, keyboard and drums.

Immediately after his time at the high school, he began with the production and songwriting own gospel bands. Career

Mid-nineties, Mario Winans signed an exclusive production deal with Dallas Austin's Rowdy Records.
