Marith Prießen

Marith Priessen (* 17 December 1990 in Kempen ) is a German football player. The center-back plays for the Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the German national football team ( U-23 women).

Career

Club football

Marith Prießens career began at TSV Wachtendonk / Wankum. In 2003, she moved to SV Walbeck in a girls' team. From there it was brought by the former junior coach André Birkerfeld to Duisburg. It was arrived at FCR equal to the captain of the U-17 team. After habituation season she was pulled early in the second women's team of the FCR and managed with this team promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the same season she was with the U-17 German master of the B- juniors.

The beginning of 2007, she signed a three -year contract with the Bundesliga and won a regular place in the first team. In Game 2 December 2007 against 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam, she suffered a torn ACL and had to pause for half a year.

For the 2010/11 season Priessen joined together with Eunice Beckmann of the FCR 2001 Duisburg to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. There, she scored in the game against VfL Wolfsburg, the first Bundesliga goal for Bayer 04 at all.

National

On April 18, 2006 Priessen debuted in the U-17 national team against Denmark. On 15 September 2006 she scored in a game against Canada their first and only goal. Overall, they played 16 times for the U- 17 team of the DFB. For the U-19 selection they played eight games. With the German U -20 national team in 2010, she was world champion in his own country a year. On September 30, 2010, she was in the match against England debut in the U -23 national team.
