Maritime identification digits

The Maritime Identification Digit (MID ) is the Seefunkkennzahl that identifies the country of origin of a ship station in the GMDSS.

System

The MID is the extension number of the maritime mobile service MMSI ( Maritime Mobile Service Identity ) of the ship station.

She is also part of the ATIS identifier used in the inland waterways for the identification of radio stations (Automatic Transmitter Identification System).

Each country will be in accordance with the Radio Regulations Radio Regulations ( Radio Regulations, English: Radio Regulations, RR. ) Assigned to one or more Seefunkkennzahlen.
