Mariusz Pawełek as keeper of Wisła Kraków

Mariusz Pawełek ( born March 17, 1981 in Wodzisław Slaski ) is a Polish football goalkeeper who currently plays in Adana Demirspor.

Career

He started his career at the small club Silesia Lubomia, but soon moved to the youth of the MKS Odra Wodzislaw Slaski. After he made his debut in the Ekstraklasa in October 2000, but he could not establish itself as a goalkeeper and played from October 2000 to June 2004, only nine top-flight. After one and a half years as a goalkeeper, he joined in the winter of 2006 for 350 000 PLN ( about 90 000 euro) to Wisla Krakow, where he initially could not prevail. For the 2007/2008 season, he eventually became the number one goal of Krakow and played 16 games in the Ekstraklasa. In December 2006 he made ​​his debut in the Polish national football team. Both 2008 and 2009 Pawelek won the Polish championship with the Wisla.

For the second half of the season 2010/11 he moved to Turkey for Süper Lig Up Konyaspor. After his club had not managed at end of season relegation to Pawełek 1 Lig for his club was also agreed in the coming season in the second-rate TFF aground. For summer 2012, he left the club and moved back to Poland to Polonia Warsaw.

In the summer of 2013 he moved back to the Turkish Süper Lig newly promoted Çaykur Rizespor. After playing only the first half of the season for this team, he was loaned out for the second half of the second division Adana Demirspor.
