Marjorie Bowen

Marjorie Bowen, actually Margaret Campbell ( born November 1, 1885 Hayling Iceland, Hampshire, † December 23, 1952 in London ) was an English writer.

Life

Margaret Gabrielle Long Vere Campbell - so her full name - grew up alone with her emotionally unstable mother in oppressive conditions. In her autobiography of 1939, she described her difficult childhood.

Campbell wrote more than 150 books. Your contributions, stories and novels published under various pseudonyms; best known was as Marjorie Bowen, also works as a Robert Paye, George Preedy, Joseph Shearing and John Winch. She wrote historical novels, short stories, biographies and children's books.
