Marjory Gordon

Marjory Gordon is an American professor from Boston College in Massachusetts.

Life and career

Marjory Gordon is professor emeritus at Boston College in Massachusetts (USA). She is one of the founders of the nursing diagnoses and was the first President of NANDA International and chairman of the nursing diagnoses - Entwicklungskommittes (Diagnosis Development Committee DDC). Marjory Gordon has performed a variety of studies on nursing diagnoses and clinical decision-making. It is regarded internationally as requested guest speaker for nursing diagnoses, nursing assessment and classifications.

Marjory Gordon has developed the Pflegeassessement the " Functional Health Patterns" ( FHP ). This nursing assessment supports nurses at locations more accurately nursing diagnoses. Thanks to the scientific soundness and practicality, the FHP Assessment has been translated into more than 10 languages ​​and used in conjunction with the NANDA International nursing diagnoses worldwide.

Prof. Dr. Marjory Gordon was honored in 2009 by the American Academy of care ( American Academy of Nursing ) for her life's work with the award " Living Legend ". Marjory Gordon became known in the German speaking through books, workshops and interviews.
