Mark Helprin

Mark Helprin ( born June 28, 1947 in New York ) is an American writer.

He studied at Harvard University. His first novel was 1977 He will purge them as gold. Helprin received a Guggenheim Fellowship and the Rome Fellowship in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He won the National Jewish Book Award and the Helmerich Award. In 2007, he pleaded in an article in the New York Times for a perpetual copyright, which led to sharp criticism on the Internet.
