Mark Edward Kelly ( born February 21, 1964 in Orange, New Jersey ) is a former American astronaut. His twin brother Scott is also spaceman.

Childhood and education

Kelly was born in the town of Orange, who grew up and went to school he is in the city a few miles away in West Orange. Kelly left the high school in 1982 and began to study at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The USMMA, one of the five public U.S. military academies, is responsible for the Merchant Navy and is located in Kings Point (New York). Kelly studied marine engineering and maritime transport, was trained in navigation, ship management and maritime law, and received his bachelor's degree in June 1986 (with distinction).
