Mark McMorris

Mark McMorris ( born December 9, 1993 Regina, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian snowboarder.

Career

His international debut in January 2007 McMorris at FIS races in the halfpipe at Big White Ski Resort. However, when 24 he could not land on the front seats. Also at the Canadian Championships in 2008 and 2009 in Cypress and at Mt Tremblant in Quebec, he was unsuccessful.

On January 23, 2010 he gave his debut in Québec Snowboard World Cup. As aft he immediately landed in the top ten and gained his first World Cup points. Just a week later he repeated the Slopestyle World Cup in Calgary, his first World Cup victory. At the Canadian championships in Quebec City in 2010, he reached the fifth place. From 2011, he paused in the FIS World Cup.

In the Snowboard World Cup 2013 in Stoneham the Canadian won the silver medal in Slopestyle.

At the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, Russia McMorris won the bronze medal on February 8 in the inaugural competition in slopestyle.

McMorris also won between 2011 and 2014 a total of six medals at the Winter X Games in Aspen. 2011 McMorris won silver in Slopestyle, 2012 he won the competitions in the Big Air and Slopestyle. In 2013 he repeated his victory in the Slopestyle, Big Air contest, he finished as runner-up. 2014 he succeeded in winning the silver medal in the slopestyle.
