Mark R. Thompson

Mark R. Thompson ( born 1960 ) is an American political scientist. Thompson teaches at the Institute for Political Science at the Friedrich- Alexander -University Erlangen -Nuremberg.

Life

Thompson studied Religious Studies (Brown University), Political Science (Cambridge University and Yale University) and his Ph.D. in 1991 at Yale University. Since 1997 he teaches at the Institute for Political Science at the Friedrich- Alexander -University Erlangen -Nuremberg. His research interests are in the field of comparative politics and transformation research with particular reference to the Asian region.
