Mark T. Sullivan

Mark T. Sullivan (* in Framingham, near Boston ) is an American writer of thrillers.

Life

Born in Framingham near Boston, Sullivan graduated in 1980 from college with a BA in English from. He then spent two years working for the Peace Corps in Agadez, Niger. During this time he also traveled with the local nomads through the Sahara. In 1982 he returned to the U.S. to take a journalism degree from Northwestern University.

The following year he began to work while studying as a reporter, from 1984, he wrote several investigative reports, including for the New York Times and New York Daily News, spending his studies altogether. In 1986 he moved to San Diego for local San Diego Tribune. Influenced by his experiences in Africa, he was more interested in and more on the cultural background in which he wrote reports. He focussed on this area and wrote about it in the next five years. For his reporting, he was twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, but came away empty. 1990 Sullivan left San Diego and moved to Utah and Wyoming.

Here he married his wife, and was first a son. 1994 his debut novel, "The Fall Line " appears after lengthy preparations. In the same year he moved with his family to Vermont. In 1995 his second novel, "Hard News " appears. 1997 was succeeded by his third novel, "The Purification Company", the critically examined in the context of the action sport hunting. This novel is in Germany first, entitled " The Slayer " and published by a new translation under the title "Panic ". Two years later he published his fourth novel, "Ghost Dance ," in Germany under the title " Ghost Dance " available.

In the same year he moved with his family to Montana and has since lived there with his wife and two sons now. He has published two more novels in the meantime, more are planned.
