Mark Watson

Mark Andrew Watson ( born February 13, 1980 in Bristol, England ) is an English stand-up comedian and author.

Life

Watson's parents were from Wales. He has two younger twin sisters and a brother. During the school visit to Bristol he already won the title gabbler of the Year, such as Babbler of the year. He then went to Cambridge at Queens ' College, where he graduated with distinction in the subject English. During his studies he was a member of the theater Cambridge University Footlights Dramatic Club at the same time as Tim Key and Dan Stevens.

At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2001 Watson has been nominated as Best Newcomer for the Perrier Comedy Awards and was there with Tim Key director of the Footlights Revue. In the following years he became a comedian several times at the Fringe Festival on very often showed his skills in expression with Welsh Dielekt and entered among other things, in 2008 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. 2012 was heard at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe on two different occasions and seeing also he wrote the text and directed the comedians show The Hotel.

Watson had his own TV shows on the BBC and ITV and appeared as a narrator in the series Time Trumpet by Armando Iannucci. He had more guest appearances in Australia and New Zealand. In 2009 he presented the prices of the New Musical Express ( NME Awards) in London's Brixton Academy. In 2012 he presented the Channel 4 six episodes of Mad Bad Ad Show, whose contents were based on advertising.

Watson is married, the couple has a son since 2010. Best man was Tim Key. Watson is a supporter of football club Bristol City, whose games he pursued as often as possible in the stadium.
