Markus Naewie

Markus Naewie ( born January 7, 1970 in Bremen ) is a former German tennis player.

Career

Naewie won in his career two ATP Challenger tournaments, in 1991 and 1993 in Nyon in Agadir. In 1992, he lost the final of the ATP Challenger tournament in Heilbronn Karsten Braasch. His highest world ranking position he reached in 1992 with 70 place, the same year he scored with the semi-finals at the BMW Open in Munich his best individual result on the ATP World Tour.

In 1992, Marc -Kevin Goellner Naewie with German indoor champion in doubles, 1994, he was then German champions in men's singles and German team champion. In the tennis Bundesliga he played alongside Karsten Braasch and Jens Wöhrmann for Rot-Weiß Hagen.

After his tennis career Naewie studied business administration in Germany, the United States and Spain. From 1998 he worked at Bertelsmann, where he worked on the financing of the Internet search engine Lycos Europe, for example. In 2000 he moved to Club Bertelsmann, where he most recently served as director of corporate development. In 2003 he became Managing Director of RTL Club GmbH. After that, he was employed at Karstadt, most recently as sales manager. Since 2010 he is member of the management of the CBR Holding.
