Markus Schwaninger

Markus Schwaninger ( born December 26, 1947 in Salzburg) is an Austrian economist. He is Emeritus Associate Professor of Business Administration with special reference to management at the University of St. Gallen.

Schwaninger her PhD in 1979 at the University of Innsbruck with a dissertation titled Organizational design in the hospitality industry. He then worked at the Management Zentrum St. Gallen and at the Institute of Economics at the University of St. Gallen. His main research interests lie in the areas of organizational intelligence, management cybernetics and system dynamics.
