Marlborough College

Marlborough College was founded in 1843 in the town of Marlborough in Wiltshire as a school for the sons of clergymen of the Church of England. Marlborough College is an Independent School, but it was not mentioned in the Public Schools Act of 1868, although it was designed in the given similar schools. The school has about 800 students and 1968 belonged to the first of the major Independent Schools, the girl admitted. Marlborough College was the first school of public schools, the one known as fagging fellow service and criminal regime that older students practiced in the 1920s on younger students who officially abolished.

Marlborough College has a large number of former students, the Old Marlburians mentioned, which were famous in the outstanding functions. Among the former pupils include Siegfried Sassoon, Charles Sorley, Princess Eugenie of York and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
