Marlies Rostock

Marlies Rostock ( born April 20, 1960 in Klingenthal) is a former German cross-country skier.

The starting for the SC Dynamo Klingenthal Rostock won with the GDR - season together with Carola Anding, Veronika Schmidt and Barbara Petzold the gold medal on the 4 x 5 km distance at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid. She also won the silver medal with the East German relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1978 in Lahti.

Marlies Rostock was married a short time with the Nordic combined Uwe Dotzauer. His second wife, the former athlete with music director Stefan Fraas, director of the Vogtland Philharmonie Greiz / Reichenbach, the covenant of marriage is received.

In 1980 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.
