Marlon Roudette

Marlon Roudette ( born January 5, 1983 in London ) is a British musician and singer-songwriter. He lived from the age of ten to St. Vincent ( Caribbean), returned with 17 years back to London, where he lives today. He achieved fame as part of the duo Mattafix, the number 1 hit Big City Life he wrote. He is the son of the designer Vonnie Roudette and Cameron McVey, producer of bands like Massive Attack, Portishead, All Saints, Sugababes and singer Neneh Cherry, who is now Roudettes stepmother.

Music

Roudette was influenced by music of Gregory Isaacs and Massive Attack. In addition, he inspired Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin and Sade. His music is a mixture of pop and reggae.

He plays next to the Steel Pan, his first instrument, the guitar.

Roudettes song New Age was used in the movie What a Man of Matthias Schweighofer. The song and the associated album have appeared on 16 August 2011 and reached high chart positions, even the single reached number 1

On January 20, 2012 Marlon Roudette published his single Anti Hero ( Brave New World) from his debut album Matter Fixed.

On June 1, his third single Hold on Me, which will be fixed, the last single from the debut album Matter appeared.

Roudette is by Universal Music Group under contract.
