Marquess Grey

Marquess Grey was a title of nobility of the Peerage of Great Britain.

The title was created on 19 May 1740 Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Kent, with a special mention that his granddaughter Jemima Campbell and their male descendants were entitled to inherit in the absence of male offspring. The Duke of Kent died just two weeks after the award of the Marquessates, making the most of his other titles extinguished. The 2nd Marchioness married Philip Yorke, 2nd Earl of Hardwicke, but left at her death on January 10, 1797, only two daughters and no sons, so the title became extinct.
