Marseille-Cassis Classique Internationale

Marseille - Cassis is a folk and road race, which connects the two French cities of Marseille and Cassis. It takes place since 1979 in October and is organized by SCO Sainte -Marguerite. History

At the first event in 1979 was attended by about 700 runners. Over the years, the race is one of the most popular in France, so that for some years the number of applications has limited to 12,000.

Route

The start is at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille. From there it goes to a closed to traffic road up to the Col de la Gineste, the highest point on the route, which is reached at 10 km. The second half of the route runs continuously downhill to the finish, the port of Cassis.
