Marseilles-lès-Aubigny

Marseilles- lès -Aubigny is a commune with 670 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Cher, in the Centre region.

Geography

The place is situated on the left bank of the Loire, at the mouth of the creek Aubois. Also the Canal in the Loire ( German: Loire Lateral Canal ) performs Marseilles- lès -Aubigny, but which is now mainly used for water tourism with sports and houseboats. Another waterway is the 1955 abandoned ship channel Canal de Berry, the Northeast section of the river Aubois follows and einmündete here in the Loire Lateral Canal. The opening section, however, was filled in the meantime.
