Martin Bell (skier)

Martin Bell ( born December 6, 1964 in Akrotiri, Cyprus) is a former British ski racer. Like his younger brother Graham Bell he was downhill specialist.

Bell was born at the base of the Royal Air Force in Akrotiri. Between 1984 and 1994, he participated in four Olympic Winter Games. In 1988 he was in the Olympic downhill by Nakiska in Calgary eighth. This is the best result that could ever reach a British skier in the Winter Games.

Bell launched 1985-1993 also five times at World Ski Championships. His best result he achieved in 1993 in Morioka with a 29th place. In Skiweltcup he went seven times in the top ten; his best result being a fifth place on 22 February 1986 in Departure from Åre. After the 1994/95 season, Bell ended his career as a competitive athlete. He now lives in the United States.
