Martin Häner

Häner Martin ( born August 27, 1988 in Berlin ) is a German hockey player.

Since 2003 Häner was active in the youth teams of the DHB. In 2006, he finished with the German team took second place at the U21 European Championship, and two years later the third place, at the Junior World Championship 2009 won Häner with the German selection for the title. He made his debut on 30 July 2005 in the German national hockey team. The defender and penalty corner specialist heard in second place at the European Championship in 2009 the national squad. The end of 2009 he was defeated with the German team until the final of the Champions Trophy the Australian hosts. Also in the final of the World Cup 2010 in New Delhi defeated the German team the Australians. At the European Championships 2011 in Mönchengladbach Häner with the German team won the title. The following year, Häner won by the German team at the 2012 Olympics in London. In 2013 he was European champion again.

Häner was voted player of the year 2009. In 2013 he became the first sports scholarship of the year the German Sports Aid. Since 2013 he is the athletes' spokesman of the German Hockey Federation.

Overall Häner denied so far 118 internationals. (As of August 23, 2013 )

Häner began his career at Steglitzer TK, the Berliner SC he came to Berlin HC; In 2009 he was with the English East Grinstead HC Champion. After his return to Berlin HC he won in 2012 his first German championship in field hockey. Häner is a medical student.
