Martin Heath

Martin Heath ( born January 31, 1973 in Stirling ) is a former Scottish squash players.

Career

Martin Heath began his professional career in 1994 and won two tournaments on the PSA World Tour. Its highest ranking in the world rankings, he reached fourth place in October 1999. During the same year he reached the semi-finals at the World Championships, which he lost to Peter Nicol with 1:3. He stayed six years in a row in the top ten in the world rankings and won six titles at the Scottish National Championships. With the Scottish national team, he moved into the semifinals of the 2001 World Team Championships, where they lost Egypt 1-2. Martin Heath was defeated while Omar Elborolossy with 1:3. The third-place match against England went smoothly lost with 0:3.

Life

Martin Heath concluded before his career with a degree in sports science at the University of Glasgow with a Bachelor's degree. After end of his career in 2005 he was head coach at the University of Rochester, he was also from 2007 to 2011 national coach of the junior men of the U.S. team. Since 2000, Martin Heath also worked as a commentator for squash games as well as a journalist. At the University of Rochester, he completed the year 2010 an MBA course. He is married to the Canadian Fenella Rawana, with whom he has a son.
