Martin Henderson

Martin Henderson ( born October 8, 1974 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a New Zealand actor.

Life and career

He began his acting career with roles in New Zealand film and television productions. From 1992 to 1995 he was a regular on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. This was followed by roles in the Australian soap opera Home and Away and in the drama series Big Sky

In 1997 he moved to the U.S. to make a career and trained as an actor at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. Like many actors, he took part in numerous auditions before finally in 2002 with the male lead role in the horror film The Ring celebrated his first major success. In 2004, he sat down next to Piper Perabo in the film drama The perfect pair of one of the lead roles. This was followed by leading roles in the films Hart am Limit, Love Prejudice and Little Fish. In addition, he participated in the music video for Britney Spears' single Toxic.
