Martin Murray (boxer)

Martin Murray ( born September 27, 1982 in St Helens, Merseyside ) is a British professional boxer at middleweight.

Boxing career

He started at the age of ten years with the sport of boxing, trained in Glass Boxing Gym in St Helens and won the 2004 English Amateur Championships at welterweight. In 2007 he became a professional and proposed a number of construction opponents, including Danny Butler ( 13-0 ), Joe Rea ( 6-0), Kevin Concepcion ( 14-1), Sergei Chomitski ( 22-5 ) and Shalva Jomardaschwili (26 - 1).

In his 20th fight on July 16, 2010 in Bolton, he won by unanimous points victory against Peter Mitrevski junior ( 23-6 ), the championship of the Commonwealth middleweight. In his next fight on November 26th of the same year in Bolton, he won by TKO win in the third round against Brazilian Carlos Nascimento ( 25-2 ), in addition, the Intercontinental Cup the WBA. These he defended in April 2011 by t.K.o. in the fourth round against the also from Brazil dating John Anderson Carvalho ( 21-4 ). On April 27, 2013, boxed against world ranked first Sergio Gabriel Martínez ( 50-2 ) for the championship of the WBC, but it was defeated on points over twelve rounds.
