Martin Å vagerko

Švagerko Martin ( born October 2, 1967 in Banská Bystrica ) is a former Slovak ski jumpers who took part in international competitions 1983-1994.

In 1984 he became Junior World Champion in Trondheim. In 1986, he was in Chamonix celebrate his only victory at a single World Cup. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1989 in Lahti, he won the Czechoslovak team bronze on the normal hill. Although Czechs and Slovaks competed separately since the Four Hills jumping on 30 December 1992 from each other, he won at the 1993 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun with a common Czech and Slovak team the silver medal.

Švagerko participated twice in the Olympic Games. In 1984 he took on the normal hill the 42nd rank. Ten years later he was 25th on the normal hill and 28th in the large hill.

Švagerko is now a board member of the Slovak Ski Slovenský lyžiarsky zväz.
