Martinique national football team

The national football team of Martinique is the national team of the French overseas departments of Martinique. Martinique is not a member of the world football governing body FIFA and therefore does not participate in qualifying matches to soccer world championships. As a member of the regional association CONCACAF but you can participate in the qualifiers to the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

History

When CONCACAF Gold Cup team in 2002 came to the quarter- finals where they were then inferior to Canada in a penalty shootout. 1993 was able to win over Jamaica, the Caribbean Cup football team by a 6:5 E. n.

In 2008 in the Paris inaugural Coupe de l' Outre- Mer, which was attended by seven teams from the French overseas possessions, Martinique thrust forward to the final, where she defeated Réunion 0:1. 2010 Martinique won the tournament; in the final the team played again against Réunion.
