Martot
Martot is a commune with 573 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Eure in the Haute-Normandie region. It belongs administratively to the arrondissement Les Andelys and the Canton of Pont -de- l'Arche.
Geography
The municipality is situated approximately 15 kilometers south of Rouen, at the border to the neighboring department of Seine -Maritime. Neighboring municipalities are:
- Freneuse in the north ( Seine- Maritime),
- Criquebeuf -sur -Seine on the east,
- Tostes in the southeast,
- La Haye- Malherbe in the south and
- Saint -Pierre- lès- Elbeuf in the West ( Seine- Maritime).
The northern boundary of the municipality of Martot forms the Seine, which is a bit further, at Elbeuf, a narrow river loop. In addition, the municipality is crossed by the river Eure, which goes to a few meters distance parallel to the Seine and in the neighboring commune of Saint -Pierre- lès- Elbeuf opens into this.
