Marvin Emnes (2009)

Marvin Emnes (born 27 May 1988 in Rotterdam, Netherlands) is a Dutch football player. Coming from Sparta Rotterdam in 2008, he joined the English FC Middlesbrough.

Career

Emnes began his career in the youth of Sparta Rotterdam. His professional debut came in the 2005/06 season, the following season he was honored by the Sparta fans player of the year.

On July 4, 2008 Emnes signed a four year contract with FC Middlesbrough, for a transfer fee of 3.2 million pounds.

His debut for Boro he was in the League Cup against Yeovil Town on 27 August. He scored his first and so far his only league goal for Middlesbrough in the match against Swansea City on August 15, 2009. Emnes played in the summer 2010 in two test matches at Fortuna Dusseldorf to sample, but could not be recommended for a contract.

National

Emnes was part of the U -17 team that reached the third place in the U-17 World Cup in Peru in 2005. For the U -21 he came to three inserts.
