Mary Stuart Masterson

Mary Stuart Masterson ( born June 28, 1966 in New York City ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Masterson is the daughter of the director, author and actor Peter Masterson and actress Carlin Glynn. She played as a child on the side of Katharine Ross in the film version of The Stepford Wives from the year 1975. Actress studied for several months anthropology at New York University.

Masterson appeared in numerous films as in the drama Green Tomatoes with Kathy Bates and Mary- Louise Parker from 1991, in which they took over one of the major roles. For her role alongside Johnny Depp, Aidan Quinn and Julianne Moore in the film Benny and Joon comedy of 1993, she was nominated in 1994 for the MTV Movie Award. In Western Bad Girls (1994 ) she performed together with Madeleine Stowe, Andie MacDowell, Drew Barrymore and Dermot Mulroney. In 2003 she was nominated for her role in the musical Nine The Musical Tony Award for prices, Outer Critics' Circle Award and Drama Desk Award; In addition, she won for this role the Theatre World Award.

In the film drama The Cake Eaters (2007) Masterson directed, they also produced the film with. She won the People's Choice Award at the Ft in 2007. Lauderdale International Film Festival in 2008 and the Audience Award at the Ashland Independent Film Festival.

Masterson was 1990-1992 married to George Carl Francisco and in the years 2000 to 2004 in the years - with director Damon Santostefano. In 2006, she married actor Jeremy Davidson.
