Masanori Hirasawa

Masanori Hirasawa (Japanese平 沢 正规, Masanori Hirasawa ) is a Japanese astronomer and asteroid explorer.

He is a graduate of Waseda University and worked as a teacher at the Tokyo Fuchie High School, named after the he the asteroid ( 7891 ) Fuchie. Together with his colleague Shohei Suzuki, he discovered 52 asteroids at the Mount Nyukasa station between 1991 and 1998. He is married to Michiko Hirasawa ( born 1955 ), the Mount Nyukasa station relays and after he ( 6499 ) named Michiko.
