Masato Uchishiba

Masato Uchishiba (Japanese内 柴 正人, Uchishiba Masato, born June 17, 1978 in Koshi, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan) is a judoka in the half- light weight.

He won at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens against the Slovaks Jozef Krnac the gold medal. He repeated at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing against Frenchman Benjamin Darbelet this success. Thus, it is one of the most successful judoka in history.

At the World Championship 2005 in Cairo, he finished second. In the Universiade in Beijing in 2001 he won the gold medal.
