Maserati Spyder (2001-2004)

History

Instead of the long-serving 3.2-liter twin-turbo V8 of the 3200 GT, a newly developed 4.2-liter V8 engine from Ferrari was installed in the Maserati Coupe. This V8 engine made ​​of light metal has two overhead camshafts and develops an output of 287 kW ( 390 hp ), which are delivered via a transaxle to the rear axle.

The Spyder has a normal fabric roof behind the seats under a cover electrically disappears in about 30 seconds. Spyder is powered by the same 4.2-liter V8 engine from the development department of Ferrari. Initially, the Spyder was available only with the Cambiocorsa circuit, a year later with a manual 6 -speed transmission. Facelift
