Mass transfer coefficient
The mass transfer coefficient is a diffusion rate constant which can be calculated from the mass flow, the mass transfer area and the concentration driving force difference as:
With:
- : Mass transfer coefficient mol / (s · m2 ) / ( mol/m3 ) or m / s
- : Molar flow rate in mol / s
- : Effective mass transfer area in m2
- : Difference in concentration in mol/m3.
