Masterton
Masterton is a town in the south of the North Island of New Zealand. It is the capital and administrative center of the Masterton District (English: Masterton District Council ), which is located in the Wellington region.
History
Masterton was founded on May 19, 1854 by Joseph Masters, after which the town is named.
The term " city " for Masterton is actually wrong, because the minimum population number for a city in New Zealand was raised in 1989 by the then in Masterton almost reached 20,000 inhabitants at least 50,000 inhabitants.
