Masumi Okada

Masumi Okada (Japanese冈田 眞 澄, Okada Masumi; born September 22, 1935 in Nice, † 28 May, 2006 Tokyo ) was a Japanese actor.

Biography

Okada was born to a Japanese and a Dane in France. At the age of four he moved with his family to Japan, where he spent his youth and his affinity discovered the spectacle.

He first worked as a stage performer, inter alia, at the Nichigeki Music Hall in Tokyo. Even in later years, he was always with in theater productions.

In 1956 he was in the drama Taiyo no kisetsu his feature film debut. In his nearly 50 -year career, he played in numerous film and television productions. He also appeared on Japanese television as a presenter in appearance. Among his internationally famous films include the drama The Yellow Venus from Kamakura, Inoshiro Honda's sci-fi film U 4000 - panic among the ocean, and the American action movie The Hunted ( with Christopher Lambert ).
