Maszkowo, Police County

Maszkowo ( German Moritzhof ) is a town in the municipality of Nowe Warpno ( Neuwarp ) in the powiat Policki ( Pölitzer circle) of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The town Maszkowo part of the mayor's office Brzózki ( Althagen ).

Geographical location

Maszkowo located in the eastern Pomerania, about one kilometer north of the village Myślibórz Wielki (Great Mützelburg ), nine kilometers southwest of the city Nowe Warpno, 20 kilometers northwest of the town of Police ( Pölitz ) and 32 kilometers northwest of Stettin ( Szczecin).

History

The town Moritzhof was the beginning of the 1930ies a town in the municipality in the district of Mützelburg Ueckermuende in the district of Stettin Pomerania. In 1939 Moritzhof had ten inhabitants. In the final phase of the Second World War the town was occupied on 27 April 1945 by the Red Army. After the Second World War, the town situated in the so-called Szczecin tip was in October 1945 part of Poland. Moritzhof was renamed Maszkowo.

Church

In 1925, all the inhabitants Moritzhofs were Protestant; they belonged to the evangelical parish Luckow.
