Matabeleland North Province

Matabeleland North ( German Nordmatabeleland ) is a province of Zimbabwe with an area of ​​75,025 km ²; and about 700,000 inhabitants ( 2002). Bulawayo is the capital of the province. Hwange and Victoria Falls are the only two other towns in this province.

The economy of the province characterizes the tourism through the Victoria Falls of the Zambezi and Hwange National Park, one of the finest game reserves in Africa. However, it is much more determined by the huge coal reserves at Hwange, are the basis of the energy and steel production in Zimbabwe.
