Matawin River

Rivière Matawin (also Mantawa or Mattawin ) is a right tributary of the Rivière Saint- Maurice in the Mauricie administrative region of the Canadian province of Quebec.

It has a length of 161 km and a catchment area of 5560 km ².

It has its origins in the Lac Matawin. From there it flows first south, then in a north-easterly direction for 95 km ² large reservoir Réservoir Taureau. This is formed from the dam Barrage Matawin. It flows for another 60 km to the east and meets 60 km south of La Tuque on the Rivière Saint- Maurice.
