Mate Bilić

Mate Bilic ( born October 23, 1980 in Split) is a Croatian football player. He is currently the Croatian first division side RNK Split under contract.

He began his career in 1997 at the Croatian club HNK Hajduk Split tradition, with whom he was in season 2000/ 01 Croatian champion.

In 2001 he joined in the Spanish Primera Division to Real Zaragoza. A year later he moved to the Segunda División to UD Almería, and then to Sporting Gijon. In 2004 he signed for FC Cordoba. A year later he was in the squad of UE Lleida. There he was able to achieve 17 results.

In June 2006 he decided to move to the Austrian Bundesliga, and signed a contract with record champions SK Rapid Vienna until 2008.

In December 2007, however, Bilic moved back ahead to Sporting Gijon, where he contributed decisively with his goals for advancement.
