Materiali e discussioni per l' analisi dei testi classici (often abbreviated to MD; German: "Materials and discussions for the analysis of classical texts ") is a published since 1978 Italian journal in the field of classical philology.

The journal serves as a forum for the exchange of different methodological approaches to ancient literature between historical- philological method and modern literary theory. Both the language and culture of the forms and techniques literary communication to be examined.

The magazine was founded in 1978 by a group of scholars at the sole editor Gian Biagio Conte in Pisa. However, this is supported by an international scientific advisory board. Its members are: Alessandro Barchiesi, Maurizio Bettini, Maria Grazia Bonn Anno, Mario Citroni, Marco Fantuzzi, R. Elaine Fantham, Rolando Ferri, Philip Hardie, Richard L. Hunter, Mario Labate, Glenn W. Most, Michael D. Reeve, Gianpiero Rosati, Luigi Enrico Rossi, Richard J. Tarrant. Publications are peer-reviewed.

The journal is published semi-annually at Fabrizio Serra editore in Pisa ( ISSN 0392-6338 ). From issue 49, 2002, she also appears as a full-text edition in electronic form online ( ISSN 1724-1693 elettronico ). In 2009, a register tape for the booklets 1, 1978-60, 2008 has been released.
