Mathias Hain

Mathias Hain ( born December 31, 1972 in Goslar ) is a retired German footballer and current goalkeeper coach.

Career as a player

Grove began his career at SV Schladen and FG Vienenburg. In 1989 he moved to Eintracht Braunschweig, where he played in the Bundesliga 2 and then in the third-tier Oberliga Nord or the Regionalliga North 1991-1993. In 1999 he moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth, but could not prevail there and moved in November 2000 to Arminia Bielefeld. There he was immediately goalkeeper and increased in 2002 to the Bundesliga. The descent in the 2002/03 season was followed by the immediate resurgence in the season 2003/04. From 2004 to 2008 was followed by four years in the first division, in which grove was captain of Arminia.

After 2007/ 08, only goalkeeper behind Rowen Fernandez was and no agreement could meet with the club over his contractual future at the end of the season, Grove moved to season 2008/09 second division club FC St. Pauli, where he signed a two -year contract. In his last season grove was chosen by the fans of Arminia Bielefeld Arminia for the season.

After two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga grove rose in 2010 with St. Pauli in the Bundesliga. There he came to four inserts. At the end of the 2010/11 season he finished his career.

Career as a coach

Since July 1, 2011 grove is goalkeeping coach at FC St. Pauli. He has a contract until 30 June 2015.

Mathias Hain is a member of the Players Council of the Association of Contract football players. His brother Uwe Hain was active for Eintracht Braunschweig and Hamburg SV also as a goalkeeper in the Bundesliga.
