Mathieu Flamini (2007)

Mathieu Flamini ( born March 7, 1984 in Marseille, Bouches -du -Rhône, France ) is a French football player. His father is Italian and his mother from Corsica. It can be used both as a defensive midfielder as well as on the two full-back positions. Since August 2013 he is at Arsenal under contract.

Career

Association

Mathieu Flamini started his career at Olympique Marseille, from its junior school, he emerged and for which he 2003/ 04 14 missions in Ligue 1 graduated in season. In 2004 /05 he moved to England free transfer to Arsenal.

After initial difficulties prevail against great competition at his position became Mathieu Flamini at Arsenal first-team regular and graduated in four years 102 Erstligapartien.

For the season 2008/ 09 Mathieu Flamini to AC Milan moved to Italy, where, however, he was never able to permanently establish themselves as key players themselves. This was due, among others, a torn ACL, which put him in the season 2011/2012 for half a year out of action. Since August 29, 2013 Flamini is back at Arsenal under contract. There he was able to establish right off the bat back in the starting eleven.

National

On 16 November 2007 Flamini was in the 2-2 draw against Morocco in his debut in the French national team. Although he was nominated in the extended squad of Les Bleus for the European Football Championship in 2008, but subsequently rejected by coach Raymond Domenech. Flamini has since not been nominated for the national team.
