Mathurin Méheut

Mathurin Méheut ( born May 21, 1882 in Lamballe, Cotes -d'Armor, † February 22, 1958 in Paris) was a French graphic artist, painter, sculptor, potter, illustrator and designer.

Méheut a keen observer of the daily life of fishermen, farmers and artisans. This can be seen on numerous sketches and pictures.

1921 Mathurin Méheut was appointed Peintre Officiel de la Marine.
