MatÃas Cenci
Esteban Matías Cenci ( born February 12, 1978 in Quilmes, Argentina) is a football player, with Argentine and Italian dual citizenship.
Career
Cenci comes from the youth of the Quilmes AC. In 1999 he went to Europe; at Atletico Madrid he played in the second team. After climbing 2001 FC St. Pauli took the center forward as reinforcement for the league. However Cenci was located in Hamburg - also due to a groin injury he had sustained earlier in the season - not prevail; in 13 Bundesliga appearances, he scored only one goal. After two more appearances for St. Pauli in the second division, his contract was canceled in November 2002.
In February 2003, Cenci joined the Swiss first division club FC Lucerne, with which he, however, also descended. After another season with the Swiss in the National League B, he spent several months without a contract, before the SV Darmstadt 98 brought him back to Germany. The " lily " in the Regionalliga Süd Cenci was a regular player; in two seasons, he came here on 61 missions with 18 goals. For the season 2006/ 07 he moved to league rivals SV labor, in which he also belonged to the root formation and climb to the 2nd Bundesliga.
From the summer of 2007 was Matías Cenci at FSV Frankfurt under contract. In the Regionalliga 2007/08 season Cenci, who scored 14 goals in 31 matches in this round rose, with the FSV on to the 2nd Bundesliga. In January 2010, Cenci joined the league for the third SV Sandhausen. After Cenci there last only as a substitute was used and in the plans of coach Frank Light for the 2010/11 season did not matter, Cenci and the club broke the still ongoing contract in August 2010 on mutual agreement. Cenci returned to South division side SV Darmstadt 98, where he has signed a one year contract. However, at the end of 2010 he returned to his home country of Argentina.
On the occasion of the last game of the season in the Regionalliga SV 98 on 26 May 2011 Cenci was invited by the club to Darmstadt and was able to celebrate with his team-mates to move up to the 3rd league there.
