Mato Jajalo (born 25 May 1988 in Jajce ) is a Croatian footballer who plays in July 2010 at the 1 FC Cologne, but is currently on loan at Bosnian club FK Sarajevo.

Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina Jajalo began his professional career at NK Slaven Belupo. He debuted on July 21, 2007 in the 0-1 defeat in the away game against NK Osijek in the Croatian top league, the first HNL. On 4 August 2007, he scored in the away match against NK Zagreb his first goal, the game was won 2-0. In his first season, he completed 30 league games and scored four goals. He closed the season with the team from in second place behind the champions Dinamo Zagreb. His debut at European club level, he played on 16 August 2007 at the home game against the representatives of Turkey Galatasaray Istanbul, as they met in the framework of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup in 2007 /08. The return game won each of the 2-1 favorite from Istanbul, in both games ran Jajalo from the beginning to the field, but remained without a goal.

For the 2010/11 season Jajalo moved on loan to the German Bundesliga and hired at the 1 FC Cologne. The club also acquired an option to purchase the midfielder. At the 1st FC Cologne was Jajalo regular players and performers. Jajalo made ​​his Bundesliga debut on 21 August 2010, when he stood on Matchday 1, against 1 FC Kaiserslautern in the grid. His first goal for the Billy Goats he made on 19 March 2011 when he scored the 1:4 27 on matchday against the Hamburger SV ( 2:6 ).

For the 2011/12 season Jajalo was all purchased from 1st FC Cologne.

On February 11, 2014 Jajalo on loan until the summer of 2014 to Bosnia - Herzegovina for FK Sarajevo.

Mato Jajalo played from 2007 to 2010 for the Croatian U-21 National Team and was at times its master.
