Matt Bloom

Matthew Jason Bloom ( born November 14, 1973 in Peabody, Massachusetts ) is an American professional wrestler, and is currently under contract with WWE. There he acts as Jason Albert.

From 1999 to 2004, he joined the American wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment under his ring names Prince Albert, Albert, and A-Train on. One of his greatest achievements was the preservation of the WWE Intercontinental Championship. From 2006, he has performed for the Japanese wrestling promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling under the ring name Giant Bernard.

Career

Background in sports / beginnings

Bloom played before his wrestling career with the San Diego Chargers football. Bloom was trained by Dory Funk Jr. and Killer Kowalski. In 1997 he debuted as The Mongolian with World Wrestling Alliance.

World Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Entertainment (1999 - 2004)

1999 Bloom debuted in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) as Prince Albert. Since 2000, Bloom appeared as Albert. Along with test he formed the tag team T & A. End of 2000, the tag team broke up and Bloom feuded briefly to test. On 26 June 2001 Bloom won the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Kane. The title he gave to Lance Storm on July 23, 2001.

As of December 2002 Bloom appeared as A-Train. Bloom began a feud with Rey Mysterio and Edge. In early 2003 concluded Bloom to Big Show and feuded with The Undertaker with this and Nathan Jones. After the end of the feud to Big Show and Paul Heyman Bloom and his protégé Brock Lesnar joined. With these they fehdeten against Hardcore Holly. In November 2004, Bloom was released.

All Japan Pro Wrestling / New Japan Pro Wrestling (2005 - 2011)

In March 2005, Bloom came to All Japan Pro Wrestling ( AJPW ). In AJPW Bloom joined the Voodoo Murders stable.

In January 2006, Bloom joined New Japan Pro Wrestling ( NJPW ). In April 2006, where he won the New Japan Cup. In July 2006, he formed a tag team with Travis Tomko. This won Bloom on March 11, 2007, the IWGP Tag Team Championship. The title they gave from Togi Makabe and Toru Yano on 17 February 2008. 2008 Bloom joined the Stable RISE. With this, he feuded against the Great Bash Heel stable. Later Bloom feuded together with RISE against the Stable Legend. In September 2008, Bloom joined Great Bash Heel.

2009 closed Bloom at the Stable CHAOS. In October 2009, Bloom won the G1 Tag League with Karl Anderson. With Anderson Bloom formed the tag team Bad Intentions. On June 19, 2010 Bloom won the IWGP Tag Team Championship with Anderson. Almost a year later, on June 18, 2011, they also won the GHC Tag Team Championship Pro Wrestling NOAH in the context of a Interpromotional matches for NJPW Dominion 6.18. The IWGP Tag Team Championship had Bad intensions give the title on January 4, 2012 in the traditional New Year's show from New Japan to TenKoji. With 564 days of Bloom and Anderson hold the record for the longest title reign of the IWGP Tag Team Championship.

Return to WWE (2012 )

On April 2, 2012, in the first Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania XXVIII edition, Matt Bloom went under the ring name Lord Tensai back to WWE, but he had initially Sakamoto, who acted as a kind of servant, at his side. Since the show on 21 May 2012, the ring name is only Tensai. February 11, 2013 to December 16, 2013, he joined with Brodus Clay on as a tag team " Tons of Funk". Since the dissolution Bloom commented in various formats in the current program since March 2014 under the name Jason Albert.
